Product Description
The Woltman water meter is a type of mechanical flow meter used to measure the volume of water passing through a pipeline. It consists of a turbine wheel which is rotated by the flow of water, and a series of gears that convert the rotational motion of the wheel into a display of the total volume of water that has passed through the meter.
The basic mechanism of the Woltman water meter consists of an inlet and outlet pipe, with a turbine wheel mounted on a central axis in between them. As water flows through the meter, it drives the turbine wheel, which in turn rotates a shaft and a series of gears. These gears drive a series of dials or a digital readout that displays the total volume of water that has passed through the meter.
The Woltman meter is widely used in commercial and industrial applications, as well as in domestic water supply systems where high flow rates are required. Its robust design and accuracy make it well-suited for measuring large volumes of water over extended periods of time.
